Display your favorite books with these modern curved terrazzo bookends. This listing is for this one-of-a-kind set of 2 bookends, functional art.
The color is a deep black base with multicolor terrazzo chips. These terrazzo chips are upcycled from the small bits left over from previous pours (aka Mayhewn Studio's "no-waste" terrazzo) and make for a striking color combination.
Made from Jesmonite, an eco-friendly water-based acrylic resin. This terrazzo-style bookend takes about an additional 40 minutes of sanding per piece to reveal the chips and create a smooth, polished finish.

Each bookend weighs ~46oz. (Close to 3 lbs each, great for holding up heavy books!)
A few notes:
+ Air bubbles form as the acrylic resin cures and these slight variations make each piece unique.
+ Each bookend will be sealed for protection with wax (as shown).
+ I've added cork to the bottom to help it stay put, and to prevent scratches on any delicate surfaces.

All items have been sealed and are moisture resistant. Please don't submerge items in water. Wipe clean with a damp cloth as needed.
Jesmonite has not been tested for food safety, but can be used for decorative tableware.
