Modern curved terrazzo bookend, inlaid with checkers. The bookends are sisters, not twins : ) Sold as a set of 2.
Made from Jesmonite, an eco-friendly water-based acrylic resin.
Color: Terracotta base with white checkers, followed by a layer of soft pink, and then a layer of light blue with no-waste terrazzo chips. These chips are upcycled from other pours and would otherwise be discarded. They make for a truly unique terrazzo effect, every time!

Each bookend weighs ~46oz. (approx. 3lbs), great for heavier books!
A few notes:
+ Air bubbles form as the Jesmonite cures and these slight variations make each piece unique.
+ Each bookend will be sealed for protection with wax (as shown).
+ I've added cork to the bottom to help it stay put but also to prevent scratches on any delicate surfaces.

Concrete is a composite material composed of fine and coarse aggregate bonded together with a fluid cement that hardens (cures) over time.

Care information
All items have been sealed and are moisture resistant. Please don't submerge items in water. Wipe clean with a damp cloth as needed.
Jesmonite has not been tested for food safety, but can be used for decorative tableware.
