Display your favorite books with this modern curved terrazzo bookend. This bookend is made with no-waste terrazzo chips and inset with larger geometric shapes, so it is truly one-of-a-kind. Sold as a set of 2.
The color is a creamy white base with multicolored terrazzo chips. These chips are upcycled from previous pours to eliminate waste. Each set is truly unique! The bookends are sisters, but not twins : )
Made from Jesmonite, an eco-friendly water-based acrylic resin. This terrazzo technique takes about 2 hours of sanding to reveal the chips and create a smooth, polished finish.

Each bookend weighs ~46oz. (Close to 3 lbs each, great for holding up heavy books!)
A few notes:
+ Air bubbles form as the acrylic resin cures, and these slight variations make each piece unique.
+ Each bookend will be sealed for protection with wax (as shown).
+ I've added cork to the bottom to help it stay put, but also to prevent scratches on any delicate surfaces.

Concrete is a composite material composed of fine and coarse aggregate bonded together with a fluid cement that hardens (cures) over time.

All items have been sealed and are moisture resistant. Please don't submerge items in water. Wipe clean with a damp cloth as needed.
Jesmonite has not been tested for food safety, but can be used for decorative tableware.
